Here's one last remnant of the 2025 Holiday Season – it's The Hideaway 22 from December 2025. While it would have been cool to end up with a Hideaway 25, we came up a few scrobbles short with a single clear most played track and a twenty-one-way tie for second most played song. December was a big month for listening to music, with 4,412 unique songs heard, second only to the month of June. Christmas music made a huge difference, with nine seasonal tracks landing in The Hideaway 22. Two tracks made return appearances from earlier in 2025: number 21 "We Will Rock You / We Are The Champions" was number 12 back in February, while number 11 "Brighter Than The Sun" had been number 18 back in March. There were only four no-scrobble days in December 2025, the lowest total since May 2025. The Rolling Stones edged out Billy Joel by a single scrobble to earn the title of Most Scrobbled Artist for the month, while The Beatles 1967-1970 was once again the Most Scrobbled Album of the month. We'll return in a couple of weeks with our 2025 Scrobble Recap.

For our flashback chart this time around, let's go back to December 2018 for The All-Christmas Hideaway 23. This is as nostalgic as Christmas music gets for me, with the average vintage of each song coming in around 1961. We're talking back when I was a young pre-teen with my parents and grandparents around every Christmas. Every song was Christmas until Boston's "Amanda" at number 48, which is a thick slice of different nostalgia. There are a few errors that I noticed, as my library wasn't as fully or properly tagged as it is today. Some of my favorite songs were suspiciously missing from The Hideaway 23 because they were listed under two or three different tags.
