Do you remember what albums you bought in 1975? Maybe you were listening to your older brother's or sister's albums in 1975? I was nine-years-old for most of 1975 and to the best of my knowledge, I purchased no albums that year as I was still buying 45s! Over the past forty-one years however, I have acquired many albums from that year including all twenty of the albums below that topped the Billboard Top LPs and Tapes chart as well as some of the albums that ruled the UK albums charts that year. How about you?

Interesting that the biggest US artist was a Brit (Elton John) and longest chart appearances on the UK charts were from US artists (Perry Como shout out!). And speaking of The Stylistics, they were also the only group selected to appear twice on the now-legendary The Greatest Slow Jam Mix Ever!
