I have revealed a few my of favorite slow jams here and there throughout my Summer Slow Jams as well as other posts and even comments on other blogs but the Kid™ nailed four of my Top Five Slow Jams Of All Time in one fell swoop with this mix.  Will definitely be putting this one to the ultimate test.  Let me know in the comments how close he came to your personal favorite Slow Jams?   My own time-tested Best Damn Slow Jams mix will follow the final Slow Jams Summer Sunday post in late August.

  1. Looks like the Kid's done did it again... Once the training wheels came off that Mixcloud bike of his, I knew there'd be no stoppin' him!

Whole lot of iconic 'Jams' jammed in that "Greatest...Mix Ever". You won't get an argument from me on most of those selections; other than the fact that a number of them would be relegated to a later volume in my own imaginary series. (My Vol. 1 would undoubtedly include the Major Harris & Heatwave tracks; other than that, I couldn't tell ya' right now).

Good to see two songs from my all-time favorite Slow Jam/Smooth Groove act, The Stylistics in there, too. Not the two I would've gone with, but then again, I ain't the Kid™. Also loved seeing a left-field choice like Sanborn in da' mix. Still very fresh to these ears, which in turn, holds up very well after repeated listenings.

All in all, a stellar effort for the soft one... Well done, pal of ours!
