The All Niter, today's featured "not sold in stores" compilation ties in with the Songza Summer playlist featured today quite nicely if HERC does say so himself (which he just did). Sessions Records marketed this album as an '80s party album but like other Sessions releases (Freedom Rock and Night Beat were previously featured on The Hideaway), there are some songs that don't quite fit as they are from the previous two decades and those tracks have been left out of the Spotify playlist at the end of this post. HERC regrets any inconvenience this may cause.
Curiously, The All Niter was only available on vinyl and cassette; no compact discs. Or eight track tapes. Some of the 50 songs will not be on the playlist but what songs will be on the playlist? How about some videos from the Solid Gold television show featuring performances of songs from The All Niter? Would that help speed things along? <Mmmmm, Solid Gold dancers....>

...and a list of the "rejects" - songs that are on The All Niter album but HERC left off the playlist above for his own reasons. Spotify Tip: One of the cooler things about Spotify is the ability to merge playlists: Drag any playlist to +New Playlist button to create a new playlist with all the same songs. Then add, delete or rearrange songs to suit your needs. Add multiple playlists together to form a mega playlist but don't forget to weed out any duplicates.
