This is a big week on the calendar, including several anniversaries of the unhappy kind. We'll take the victory lap here on The Hideaway, as we had no idea when we began writing in 2012 that we'd still be going nearly a decade and a half later. We went several prolonged periods without any new posts, with you – our loyal viewers – always reaching out to make sure we're okay. Appreciate that. Cannot pinpoint why the blog has been enjoying an amazing surge in viewership in 2026, but we'll take it. Maybe it's AI.
