The very first disc in Australia's long-running So Fresh
series of pop music collections came out in 2000.
The fourteenth edition of So Fresh's The Hits of Spring, the 2013 version, was issued in September 2013. Before adopting the So Fresh brand, the hits compilations were known as Hit Machine, with 28 volumes issued from 1993 until 2000.
As has been the case since every Spring since 2005, Now That's What I Call Music counters with the their own The Hits Of Spring 2013. Unlike the Now series in the U.K or the U.S., which are numbered, Now Australia opted to go with seasonal titles after Volume 8 in 2005.
Oddly, each of the dueling discs features a track by Imagine Dragons and MKTO.
