Def Leppard appeared to be in the same predicament as Bob Seger when it came to streaming their music. They had a grievance with their label over royalties, so their music was kept off streaming services. The band then began to upload studio re-recordings and live concert performances in place of their mega-popular original recordings. Following an amenable agreement, all of Def Leppard's music began streaming in January 2018. In anticipation of the release of CD Collection Vol. 3, Def Leppard playlists began appearing on the streaming services in early 2021. The ten playlists released from February until April were listed as being curated by individual band members and averaged five tracks each.
