Summer In Stereo #77

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hairWarm smell of colitas, rising up through the airUp ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering lightMy head grew heavy and my sight grew dimI had to stop for the night
It is a Summer driving song.  And it took the Gipsy Kings to make the song drivable during the day cause the Eagles original is obviously strictly a nighttime driving song. Originally released on 1990's Rubáiyát: Elektra's 40th Anniversary and later heard in 1998 on The Big Lebowski soundtrack, the flamenco version of this classic rock staple, complete with Spanish lyrics, was an immediate smash here at The Hideaway.  (Although HERC will be the first to admit that the primary reason he bought the double disc Rubáiyát back in 1990 was for Metallica covering Queen's "Stone Cold Crazy".)  Roll the windows down, turn up the volume and shout the lyrics in any language you see fit.  (Except you, Frank Ocean.  You are still on one of many of Señor Henley's bad sides.)
