HERC has a Madonna story, and you can read it here. Years later, this song is his go-to Madonna song for Summer listening (and other verbs), though "Into The Groove" runs a close second. The whole Madonna album gets significant play each Summer here at The Hideaway.
There is something Holiday-ish about Jessica Simpson's "A Public Affair" from 2006. The latter song samples the former song and then incorporates the uplifting chorus from Diana Ross's "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". It shouldn't work, but for HERC, it all comes together nicely. Others felt the same way as the song topped the Hot Dance Club chart in October 2006.
