In keeping with the positive position of this blog, we celebrate anniversaries of birth, more commonly known as "birthdays" - those miraculous days when the world becomes a better place.
These are some of HERC's favorite musical performers who just happened to born on March 5th.
Nineteen year old Andy Gibb had the first of three consecutive #1 hits beginning with his U.S. debut -
"I Just Want To Be Your Everything" - in 1977.
Eddy Grant had been one of The Equals in the Sixties but
he became internationally known as a thirty-four year
old with his 1982 single "Electric Avenue".
The Craig twins, Charlie (on guitar) and Craig - professionally known as The Proclaimers - were twenty-seven when they conquered the world in 1989 with "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)".
Five years into her recording career, the beautiful
and talented Teena Marie scored a Top 5 hit in 1984
with "Lovergirl" as a twenty-eight year old.
Guitar genius John Frusciante laid down three tasty solos
on "Dani California" with Red Hot Chili Peppers as a
thirty-five year old in 2005.
