Forget about her for a moment. (That pic is courtesy of Vogue BTW.) The man here in the cap and denim jacket is affectionately known as "Professor Eddy". He is a Dutch DJ who has been making a series of Mixcloud mixes he calls Smooth Sailing since March 2014. The Prof is also very prolific; so much in fact, that he maintains at least six other series of mixes alongside the yacht rock-oriented Smooth Sailing; we'll be focusing on his eighteen mixes in that series from 2014 in this post. In the introduction to his very first Smooth Sailing mix, which the Professor titled Yacht Rocking & Funky Grooving, he confesses that the effort was an attempt at "a soulful yacht rock mix" and probably the closest he'd ever get to a yacht. His Smooth Sailing Mixes are below in the order they were originally posted, from March 2014 through September 2014. Professor Eddy offers tracklists and some commentary for each mix (usually but not always) on his BLOG. In addition to the diverse selection of music - both old and new, familiar and unheard - he brings to each mix and the fun little names he gives them, I enjoy the Professor's muse, Puerto Rican supermodel Joan Smalls, who graces each and every mix as cover-girl. The picture at top of post was used as cover art for his first Smooth Sailing mix, below.
