HERC has been counting down the Top Summer singles (based on WLS, Billboard and Cash Box charts) and Top Summer albums (based solely on Billboard charts) from his favorite decade in music, 1974-1983. As he was still in 45 RPM single buying mode, it should come as little surprise that HERC only had one of these albums in 1975 - the one that came in at #6 below. A total of twenty-nine albums hit the Top 10 on Billboard's Albums chart during the Summer of 1975, between May 31st and September 6th. The Top 10 of those albums are listed below, based on a simple 10 points for #1, 9 points for #2, 8 points for #3, etc formula. The Number One album below is notable for being the very first album ever to debut on the chart at #1 where it stayed for six weeks before dropping down as low as #5 before jumping all the way back to the top for one more week.
