FLASHBACK: America's Top 10 July 26, 1981

YouTube user burtiscurtis09 transfers and edits the episodes of America's Top 10 from VHS to digital and HERC gives all credit to him for the job he does.  This week's episode is based on the Billboard issue and charts dated July 25th, 1981.

Casey counts down the Pop and Country Singles charts as well as the Albums chart in this episode.  He also points out that if "Bette Davis Eyes" had held onto the top spot for a tenth consecutive week this week, it would have tied two other songs for most weeks at #1: "Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White" by Prez Prado (1955) and "You Light Up My Life" by Debby Boone (1977).  Spotlight videos shown were:
  • POP - "Slow Hand" by the Pointer Sisters
  • COUNTRY - "Feels So Right" by Alabama
  • ALBUMS - "Over and Over" by Santana
HERC has included a few extra charts and chart minutiae to round out today's post.
